Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle/Botulinum toxin and filler?

Anti-wrinkle/Botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle to prevent muscle movement, which causes lines on the face. Common areas treated are frown (11’s), forehead lines and crow’s feet (around the eyes).

Dermal filler is an injectable gel made of Hyaluronic acid, often used to treat volume loss on areas of the face such as cheeks or marionettes (lines from corner of mouth down to chin). Can also be used to soften lines on the face such as lip lines (smoker lines). Dermal filler is commonly used to augment areas such as lips, cheeks or chin.

How much does it cost?

Please see price list, however pricing does vary between different people. It is best to have a consultation so you can have an assessment in person and we can give you a better idea of cost.

Does it hurt?

Anti-wrinkle/botulium toxin injections are done with a very fine needle and you may experience some discomfort briefly. It is tolerated well by most people.

The dermal filler has lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) in it, which numbs the area at the same time. We also routinely use topical numbing cream prior to lip filler treatment, as lips are a sensitive area!

We also have other techniques to minimize discomfort.

How long does it last?

Anti-wrinkle/botulinum toxin injections usually last about 3 months. Dermal filler lasts 9-18 months depending on area treated and type of filler used.

Do you have payment plans?

What are the risks?

Am I eligible for treatment?

We will ask you to fill out a medical questionnaire prior to consultation and we can then discuss if there is a treatment that may not be suitable for you.
